One of my favorite things to do in Bangkok is visit the vibrant marketplaces — and you guys love to read about it! Some of my most popular posts are on Chatuchak Market, the Vespa Market, and the nighttime Flower Market.
I was pretty crestfallen to learn that the Vespa Market is at least temporarily closed down — I wasn’t able to get much information from the security guards at the site....

Way back in April I introduced Travel Porn, a new feature in which I review books from my beloved travel literature genre. Since then I dropped the ball and only featured one other book! Well, readers, it’s time to get back on track. After all, there’s nothing like Paul Theroux’s The Great Railway Bazaar to make you want transport yourself to a hot sweaty train in Southeast Asia or J....

When you tell someone you are going to spend the weekend in Manchester, their reaction is usually, “Fun! What are you doing there?” When you respond that you’re going to hang out with a bunch of your ex’s closest childhood friends, their reaction is usually some serious side-eye.

I’m planning on writing a full post about this fun day at some point, but here’s a little sneak preview of the parade in the form of Photo of the Week…
Alright, this isn’t a contender for Photo of the...

What a week! I’ve been a busy bee with Muay Thai boxing training, throwing a Valentine’s Day party, catching up on some blog projects, and keeping up with my “day job,” underwater videography. In fact, I have a bit of a confession for you this week, readers- Photo of the Week is actually going to be Video Still of the Week. I shot so much underwater footage this week and took not...

I woke up on our second day in Bangkok filled with happiness.
With my Dad arriving late the night before, I finally had my whole family back under one roof. And that roof came with a rooftop pool and a view to die for, courtesy of the Shama Suites on Soi Sukhumvit. Our two bedroom suite was simple but spacious and came with the nice perks of a kitchenette and a washing machine.
My Dad had requested one...
