Indeed! For my last burn I contributed financially to an art car and it definitely added a line item to the budget. For my next burn I think I’ll be upgrading to an RV 🙂

After 6 years on playa, I say spending definitely ranges and certainly increases proportionally to how much comfort you require (RV, hexiyurt, range of food, clothing, etc). Additionally, given that it is a participatory event, cost can increase when you are creating art projects with or without a camp.

And already mentally and financially preparing for a third 🙂

Thanks Amanda! You can do Burning Man at a huge range of budgets. I’m not sure here exactly mine fits in but I know there are those who spend way less and those who spend wayyyyyy more.

It seems like a lot of cash to me, but I guess I’m used to stretching my budget over pretty long term trips. For a festival of this length though, I think you’re right — it’s a pretty fair deal!

Well, I can’t take credit for it as Burning Man itself coined the term 🙂 But I do love living it for a week! Imagine a life with no ads or logos! I know how you feel about billboards!

Short answer: absolutely. Ha. Obviously those will be inaccessible to some people (like me, the last two years!) due to budget, but if you can swing it, I don’t think you’ll regret it!
