That’s been one of the best parts! There is just so much more time to think and be still and write when not worrying about when you’re catching the next bus. That said, I think some of my best writing (much of it has not yet made it off my laptop) came from my trip to Central America last year when I was traveling alone and spending a lot of time in solitude. I think the other half of the equation is alone time, of which I get little on Koh Tao. So I’m going to mix some of that back in this year, too.
