Yes, festivals are indeed my “splurge zone” — pity this one wasn’t as overwhelming as the first!

I’d say I was surprised, especially with that price tag, but it is Latin America 😉

It’s almost impossible to have a bad time at Tomorrowland 🙂 Still, I definitely wanted to give fair warning to those considering making this splurge in the future!

I haven’t been to Disney World since I was a kid, but I did got to Disney Land last year and had a BLAST! Man was that a good time! Tons of air conditioning and yes, lots of locked doors, though I was more pumped on the rides and the poolside tiki drinks.

Okay but to respond seriously, what did I expect? I expected an experience similar to what I received from the same festival organizers in Belgium. I had an absolute blast but I don’t feel I got what I paid for, hence this post. I didn’t let it ruin my good time, though jury is still out on whether or not it makes me a sucker.

I’ve been lucky that at both these festivals the weather was super cooperative and we never had heavy rain — not sure how these tents would stand up to it! Obviously they’re off the ground so the bottom would stay dry. I presume they are leak proof, but glad I never had to find out 😉

Festival travel is one of my favorite ways to see the world 🙂 Such a fun perspective on things!

Ha, right?! I did wonder how much of our disappointed came from comparing Belgium to Brazil — if we hadn’t had Belgian chocolates left on our pillows in Boom, we wouldn’t have known to miss them in Itú! But paying more for something else is always a downer, no matter how you slice it.

That’s a good point about security, ha ha. I did love how chummy we were with the security team and Belgium and would have enjoyed that level of familiarity in Brazil as well, especially considering the smaller size.
