Hi Alex,

Thanks for the response – I’ve only rafted once before (on the Rio Pastaza in Ecuador) so would definitely call myself a beginner. I checked out the Jungle River Lodge and it’s cheaper than the place I was looking at (which might be the one you mentioned, as it also does horse riding) – I’m now torn between my childhood love of horse riding and a need for some serious budgeting!

In reply to Kat. Hi Kat, we stayed at the Jungle River Lodge. I highly recommend it for rafting, ziplining, and hiking! Great fun. Another lodge nearby, can't recall the name, has horseback riding as well. The rafting might not seem so great to you if you are a regular but we were beginners and it was so fun!

What was the name of the lodge you stayed at? I have a week to kill on the north coast of Honduras at the end of August and was planning on taking a rafting trip somewhere on the Rio Cangrejal.
