In reply to Dominique. Yeah, the chain restaurant and chain store thing definitely surprised me. Waikiki is HUGELY popular among Asian tourists, and I imagine those are probably a big draw for them since they can't get them at home?

Waikiki sounds quite expensive. I think I would stick to as much nature as possible in Hawaii, there are more than enough cities in the world to explore with chain restaurants 🙂

OED: goofy (slang) 1: Stupid, silly, daft. 2: (surf-riding) goofy foot, footer, surfer, one who rides a surfboard with the right foot forward instead of the left.

The food there is great and they use only local ingredients.

Yeah, I mean, I think we are pretty easy to please — we TOTALLY get things happen, we just wanted a sincere “I’m so sorry” and like, a less insulting discount. Honestly if she’d really sincerely apologized we would have preferred that to any discount at all!
