The best time to camp up here is in September. The heat has somewhat disappeared and the bugs numbers are greatly reduced.

I totally love this post. You took some really great photos that captured each moment well. And you’ve got a very nice blog overall. Great job! I live in Maine, so it was fun to see so many familiar places. I moved here about 6 years ago and have never looked back. It’s an incredible place to live. This past year, I visited Acadia National Park and took tons of photos of the rocky coast at the end of the Ship Harbor Trail, the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, and the Somesville Bridge. Awesome places that were not difficult to photograph at all. Some things I’ve got to work hard at, but not these. Anyway, nice job and I appreciate all the hard work you put into your website.

Yes, it certainly does feel a bit like the set of a US movie, doesn’t it? Reminds me quite a bit of my other favorite quaint US destination, Martha’s Vineyard!

It was on my list forever too — this trip was long overdue and only whet my appetite for future trips! Can’t wait to get even further north in the state next time.
