If you are going on a wine tour ( try to do a boat wine tour!) while you are in the area – the burgers at the Thirsty Owl Winery are amazing.

Yes, I absolutely loved Athens! Ended up meeting a couple there and sampling a good few bars there (you know, for research reasons). It did make the climb up to the Acropolis pretty tough the next day, but well worth it 🙂
