As far as New Mexico v. South Dakota I have some insight on both. I lived in NM for a few years (traveled the state in my job on the rural book mobile extensively) and am from and currently live in Minnesota, so I am fairly familiar with South Dakota. My vote would be for New Mexico.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen we went with New Mexico… however, South Dakota is still very much on my list! Thank you for these tips, I will absolutely circle back to them when the time comes!
