I love the country club! The interior has beautiful painted floral walls and bright cheerful colors. The staff is attentive and friendly.

The menu was a bit smaller than I expected but I thoroughly enjoyed everything that I had. I will dream about those crab beignets for the rest of my life.

It was perfectly crispy and bite-sized deeply fried magic. The filing was a bit sweet and tangy reminded me of Thai style flavors with coconut and lemongrass flavors.

The fried greens tomatoes were also perfectly crispy and delicious as well as the Brussels sprouts. Drinks were fantastic. We asked to see the pool as well.

Wish I had brought my swimsuit that day because pool access would have been 7 dollars in our receipts! It’s the perfect brunch spot or date spot. I would def want to come back.

You really can’t go wrong with Frenchman Street. I also love Bar Tonique for their $5 happy hour made-from-scratch cocktails. There’s so much fresh produce, it actually looks more like a SALAD bar. You can literally watch them juice the ginger for your moscow mule from your seat AND they make sodas from scratch too!

In reply to Marni. That's definitely an apt comparison! New Orleans is such a vibrant city but it really is what you make of it. You could spent the whole trip on Bourbon Street and go on a swamp tour and I'm sure you'd have a blast but dig a little deeper and you will SERIOUSLY be rewarded!
