Ah, thanks for the heads up! That is what it’s called in the Cayman Islands and I thought I’d heard Bahamian people use the same term for Junkanoo, good to know it’s not region wide 🙂 I’m actually tentatively planning to attend in 2019 so PLEASE give me all your tips 🙂

Hey Alex,

Great list! I grew up in Trinidad and it’s the best carnival imho, but I just wanted to (gently) point out that it’s not referred to as ‘jumping’ there. I think this may be a thing in the other islands? Anyway in Trinidad it’s called ‘playing mas’ or just ‘playing Carnival.’ I hope you make it there one day!
