Yes, we trekked all the way in! You can break up the bus journey with a night in Chivay and zipline/hang out at the hotsprings!

I am currently considering it, but it is 6 hours away from Arequipa, so not sure I can cope with such a long bus journey (I am having far too many of those in Peru and Bolivia).
