Thank you so much Melanie. The sun came out the past two days (dark gray is back today) and it’s absolutely amazing the shift in my mood. I just don’t think I’m made for winters.

Albany has some really unique architecture. I’ve posted photos before of the Empire State Plaza, if you’ve never seen it you might want to do a search… it’s bizarre!

Yes, I am seeing the first hints of spring. Two days ago I actually was able to go for a run outside… it was glorious and felt very good for my mental health.

Thanks J. I know a lot of people read this blog as an escape and sometimes when I realize I’ve written quite a few negative posts in a row I start to feel guilty! But you are right, that is the way life truly is — ups and downs and sometimes quite a few downs.

Ha, I do love the way you tackle sad. I think I’ve said before on your blog that my sad is always tinged with guilt, which is an even more toxic emotion! I am on a downer right now but I can see the light, and there have been times when that wasn’t true so I’ve learned to be grateful for it.

The conference definitely made me itch to get back into the water, which won’t be happening until July. Good thing I have lots to relive here!

Maybe I need to work on a travel guide to Albany at some point 🙂 I think it’s a nice weekend getaway.
