Hey Amanda! How fun! Lots of people do day trips to Martha’s Vineyard. While I’m of course biased to think the more time the better, you should absolutely go for the day if you have the opportunity. You can easily use public buses to get around to all the towns on the island, with Oak Bluffs obviously being my favorite! Edgartown is also beautiful and a completely different feel. Up Island is beautiful with the iconic cliffs an the more rural setting but depending on your schedule it might not be a great use of your time to get out there. If you think you’ll be there late enough to have dinner, I’d consider Red Kat Kitchen in Oak Bluffs or Port Hunter in Edgartown — two of my favorite restaurants on the island!
