In reply to Alex. I can certainly attest to the fact that it is a strange place to grow up! The population swells dramatically and then the whole place empties in the summer! I love going home for Christmas now. Where else can you lay by the pool and tan in December/January!

It's funny, when we were leaving my friends and I were musing about what it must be like to grow up in a place like that, so small and ruled by tourism. What a beautiful spot, though!

I’ve been a reader for a while but not really a commenting… I totally wish I had realized you were in Palm Springs! I live in Edinburgh right now but I am from there! I hope you liked it and did not die from the heat! When were you there? Was it during the tournament? You should have gone around Coachella! (okay so that wouldn’t work with a wedding but Coachella Fest is great!)

Ahh the picturesque Venice! I spent Saturday there with my best friend (my first official visitor since I’ve moved! ^_^) … You’ve got to go to 26 Beach Café whenever you get back up to Venice. I think you’d love the adorable interior, and their brunch menu is to die for!!
