I believe it's a protestant church, actually -- clearly I was too distracted by the beautiful interiors to take too careful of notes, LOL. And yes -- I'm incredibly grateful for the time I got with my mom during this whole period.

Thanks so much for creating this blog post! I’m so glad that you got to enjoy the flowering arrangement workshop with your mom! The craft does sound interesting! I’m going to look more into it.

The Jiminy Park ski trip definitely sounds fun. I went skiing once about ten years ago, and I was incredibly bad at it. I hope to go again someday soon. I agree that it’s a great way to get some sunshine in the winter.

So cool that you got to explore the oldest church in Albany. Was it a catholic church? I love viewing the architectural elements of churches, especially ones in different countries. They are so beautiful.

I’m glad you got to spend some quality time with your mom during these months <3

Hi Alex,
I have been reading your blog for a few years now and I just wanted to leave you a note to say how much respect and admiration I have for you. I read your blog posts with tears in my eyes to learn about you being a full time carer for your mum. I can not even begin to imagine how hard that must be, but you are making the best of what I can only see as one of the hardest physical, emotional and mental situations. Sometimes life does this to us and we don't know why, there are no answers. You write with such humility, grace and authenticity about your situation. This sets you miles apart from several other travel bloggers, where one only sees 'the gloss' and the superficial. This is the reason I love reading your blog.
Rachel would be and is very proud of you.
With warmest wishes,
Angela
