I haven’t been to the Galapagos — yet! — which makes it hard to say! I will say going in the rainy season did not dampen (ha!) my enjoyment of Machu Picchu whatsoever.

Hey Jayme! Personally I didn’t experience anything other than the sensation of a hangover the first day in Cusco, and some headaches while trekking. Take plenty of time to acclimatize in Cusco before beginning any treks, and drink plenty of coca tea! Good luck!
