In reply to Habitudo. Yes, I definitely understood that Uber was under a lot of pressure from the local taxi companies. And we didn't quite experience that they would pick us up anywhere -- there were many places where our rides were cancelled because it was too dangerous to be picked up.

Unfortunately, Uber now is under pressure from the local taxi companies, if you really want to take a ride with Uber don’t ask to the owner hotel or the security in front of the hotel, just walk away a few meters and use your App.they will pickup you anywhere in Bali.

Oh, you are making me miss Asia. We spent nearly four years living around Asia including Bangkok and there are many aspects we miss. Might be time to think about a nice long trip around the region to visit some of our favorite cities like Bangkok and Penang.

Yup, I’m doing the period swap too — something I neglected for a long time since, due to an IUD, I don’t have much of anymore anyway. But I’ve vowed to stop buying ANYTHING disposable, when I have a perfectly good silicone cup to use (though I am working my way through a ton of panty liners first, since one of my 2019 resolutions was to empty this houses’s medicine drawers and closets of random toiletries before buying anything new.)
