In reply to Campbell. Hey Campbell, you can find many many diving posts and photos here! There isn't really diving around Koh Samui -- the dive operators there will just bring you up to Koh Tao, hence I suggest basing yourself there if diving is your main objective.

Hi Alex!
My luck that the PADI ambassadiver recently went to Koh Samui! I haven’t dived many places in the Thai gulf. I am currently in Thailand and want to do a couple of dives, I really enjoyed Sail Rock, can you recommend any other dive sights? Can you do snorkeling from the beach on Koh Samui and is it any good? Can you recommend a dive centre to use on the island? Do you have dive photos on your site, I couldn’t find any.Thank you

This looks so nice – what a great vacation! Although Koh Samui has changed a lot since I first visited there. There were no hip restaurants and bars, granted that was over 10 years ago now though! PS. You are quite bendy! 🙂

There are indeed many Aussies in Samui — I’m pretty sure there are multiple Australian themed restaurants and bars on the main strip that I’ve seen 🙂 I can’t say there’s a huge concentration of Americans anywhere in Thailand so nowhere I’d have to avoid, thankfully!
