So I’m finding your article late, but just got off Aggressor Bahamas, and leave next week for 2 weeks on Agg Red Sea! Following in your footsteps. 🙂 I’ve been on Galapagos Agg and Palau Siren, Cayman, Cozumel, FL Keys, St. Lucia, Tobago, cenotes, the ABC islands and a few others. While liveaboards can have strenuous schedules, they are by far the EASIEST and BEST way for seeing the underwater world. I travel by myself sometimes, so if you are ever looking for a buddy, let me know.

I absolutely love livaboards. It’s an incredible feeling being out on the ocean, I’m not padi certified yet but I’ve done some amazing snorkeling on a live aboard in Indonesia that definitely sparked my curiosity in diving. Thanks for the article and the incredible underwater photography!

Hey Stuart, that’s so cool! I don’t know any off the top of my head but try the PADI Travel search filter — there might be one out there! I’d check the Aggressor fleet, they tend to be the best of the best.

I feel like I would love liveaboards for the same reason I love cruises – you get to sample several spots to get a taste for a place without necessarily committing yourself to it for a longer timeframe. In terms of other amazing liveaboard spots, the places that would top my list would be Costa Rica, Maldives, and (thanks largely to your post!) within the Red Sea.
