What a great read—as always!
I lived in Mobile while in college at Spring Hill in early 70’s. The campus is beautifully historic and worth a drive through but boy oh boy do I wish Mobile had been even a teeny bit like this back then—there were only a handful of great seafood joints and I cringe to tell you the blatant segregation scenario that was Mobile. I ate at Dobbs House (Waffle House) pretty much all there was!
