I think that was Mexico for me — it didn’t seem appealing for a long time because I just associated it with sky rises in Cancun. Silly me! Now I’m obsessed. I also have quite the Caribbean wishlist brewing: Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, Cuba….

Wow! Like you, Dominican has never been on my radar & I would NOT expect the coolness of this post to come out of that destination. MY APOLOGIES Dominican! How ignorant.

I’m not sure if this has been your experience Alex but for myself, growing up in Canada, the Caribbean was one of the default holiday spots so it never seemed that exciting to me as an adult. Except for Cuba.

But recently a few places have piqued my interest – Saint Lucia, Barbados…and now Dominican! Thank you for continuing to expose us to hidden gems!
