I know, that 95% of people crawes for warm places, but for me chilly weather and cozy clothing is the best thing, so Eastern Europe and Canada are perfect places for that. Thats a good thing, because my travel destinations tend to be less crowded!:)
By the way, I have done the trans-Syberian railway and it was just what I expected and as romantic as you described. If you finally decide to look in to travelling to Russia I suggest to try Travel All Russia agency, at least for me getting visa and dealing with the paperwork was efortless.

What about Corsica? Google: Palombaggia, Rondinara, Roccapina, Calanches de piana,Scandola, Porto Ota, Evisa, Lac de Nino, Corte, Restonica, Bonifacio, Sainte Lucie De Tallano, Bavella, Filitosa, Calvi, Saleccia. Many different landscapes on a relatively small but extremely beautiful island. And next month I will test the Greek Islands Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos for you 😉 Have a lot of travel fun!
