Greetings from… you guessed it, Greece! My mind is reeling at how quickly the past two weeks of my Greek Island Hopping tour went by. Santorini charmed me once again, and Ios made a memorable first impression. But what surprised me most of all? How hard it was yesterday to say goodbye to the friends I’d made. I was incredibly apprehensive about joining a group tour yet somehow sign off was filled with heartfelt hugs and even a few true promises to travel together again.
Today I’m off to my final Greek destination — a two day trip to Meteora with Viator. What a way to wrap up Europe! Then I’m off to Bahrain for a whirlwind twenty four hour tour before finally landing in beautiful Bangkok. Next week’s Photo of the Week collection should be interesting.
Wishing you safe travels wherever you are in the world this week…

Which photo is your favorite?
A few quick housekeeping notes: First, my email server is once again on a campaign of terror and I seem to be getting only about half the messages sent my way. If you’ve tried to reach me recently, please resend and shoot me a message on Twitter or Instagram to confirm I’ve received it! Secondly, I apologize for the light posting this week and next as I put all my free time and energy into launching my new site redesign. I promise it will be worth it.
Love Photo A. Excited to see the new site design!
Eeeek I can’t wait until it’s live!
Water every time for me!!!!
Seconded π
Love Photo Group A – so colorful! But, I think my heart would be with that donkey too. I’m an animal lover at heart.
Me too. This guy stole my heart.
Hate to be a downer but that black sand beach was the only thing I liked about Santorini.
Meteora on the other hand, mind blowing.
Can’t wait to see the new design!!!
Really! I LOVED Santorini. I think it is magical! But to each their own, eh? π
I like Photo A. It is so….Greece.
Indeed, white washed buildings and bright blue doors scream Greece like little else!
I love photo C! Very cool shot. Enjoy the rest of your time in Greece! And you’re going to be back in SE Asia so soon. I bet that’s pretty crazy!
Couldn’t be happier about it π Feels like going home!
I love B! And I CAN’T WAIT to see your new site redesign. I sent you an email about which side of the island to stay on Koh Tao. Feel free to just reply here π
That one I got — yay! Will write you back ASAP, promise π
Photo A. That dishware is stunnnning. Bahrain, eh? Can’t wait to hear about that one! x
I’m pumped… about everything but the 104 degree heat π
Oh Bangkok, I just came from there and I miss it already! I’m voting for C, which is a great photo, but why is the donkey so sad? He looks very unhappy π
Probably because he’s been hauling heavy tourists around in the sun! Poor guy…
I just refuse to pick this week.. I spent too long already trying to decide and can’t so I’m just not going to! Love them all. and I did e-mail you about my site and questions on logo work….. not sure if you got it or not! π I did emphasize no rush since you’re off galavanting
Don’t think I got that one girl! Can you try resending? I’ll let you know if it doesn’t come through again. And let me just reiterate regarding these email issues: ARKEHGLSJHGLKJSHFGLKJSFHARG!!!!!!!!!!
Excuse my politically incorrectness
Photo D – looking good – wow!
That’s not me — I took the picture π I’ll pass along the compliment to my friend though!
Definitely the donkey. It wins my heart. I don’t understand why people would take a donkey ride up the stairs. I’m not sure, but it feels to me like they are suffering in the heat and burden that they carry π
Yeah, I heard lots of people saying they are rotated all the time, the donkeys only work an hour, whatever. I don’t know… it doesn’t seem like fun to me. I feel for them.
I am choosing Photo A. The white buildings are something I always associate with Greece.
I love that they have kept the tradition after all these years! It really makes for stunning scenery.
I choose Photo A as well. Enjoy Greece!
Thanks Stef! Greece has been a dream…
Photo B. But really any of them. Greece seems to be a very photogenic country
It is indeed! Pretty hard to take a bad snap here…
I love the last image! I finally tried paddle boarding recently, after hearing so much about it here, and absolutely loved it!!
Excited for the redesign :):)
It is SO FUN! The girl in the photo, it was her first time and she loved it. I can’t get enough!
Love Photo B, beautiful colours. You are looking fab by the way (photo D) π
Oh, that’s not me! I’m the one behind the camera, not in front of it π
I choose Eeyore this week… Poor, sad donkey
He had such soul! What a beautiful animal.
I love photo C! The subtle love shaped sand is a gorgeous shot!
That was one of my creative highlights of the trip π Thanks for appreciating!
I love these photos almost equally this week!!! BUT I’m going with D, because underwater is where I’d like to be! Definitely have to try paddleboarding for the first time when I visit Hawaii.
Excited about your site redesign! Don’t stress about not posting as much, you’re a busy gal, I honestly don’t see how you continuously crank out as many as you do! Alex the Wonderwoman anyone!?
I actually laughed out loud when I read this comment… might have to steal that for my new business cards π
I love C!
Can’t wait to read your posts about Greece!
I can’t wait to write them… and there are going to be a LOT!
A toss up between A and B….Are the Donkeys in Greece Misstreated or treated well ? Poor things they are lovely …. π
Well there is a bit of controversy about it. I know I wouldn’t want to carry a tourist up such a steep cliff on my back on a hot day! But at the same time it is tradition and I don’t have harsh judgements for those who choose to do it. It is not for me though.
Photo A is very popular! But I love it too – the colours are great! Looks like it was a fun-filled trip!
It was! Greece was hard to say goodbye to!
I love the donkey photo! Also, heading to Greece in October so I’m digging your posts!
Nice! Going to TBEX? So bummed I can’t make it, especially as I’d love to head back to Greece again so soon π
I love the heart-shaped collection of sand!
Thanks! That was one of my more inspired moments of the trip π
