This summer I had the great honor of officiating my best friend’s wedding 💍💐🥹

@kmzeto and @marklou1s met in Saratoga, put a ring on it in Saratoga, and so of course had to tie the knot in Saratoga! It took a couple years of postponements and reimagining but I loved every dress fitting, location visit, and venting-over-cocktails session I was lucky enough to be a part of. Not to mention the most epic bachelorette weekend in Tulum!

It was an intimate wedding weekend, one of those magical relaxed ones where you feel that electricity of two people finding their *person* and all the excitement of their families to get to be a part of it.

When Kristin and Mark asked me to officiate I said I would love to under one condition… I still get to make my reception speech because guess what I’ve had that one written for years 😅

Kristin you are a sister to me 💕 @lmattiske and @tiskelnm I am forever your “other daughter.” And all the rest of you I just love! So grateful to be so warmly embraced by this bonus family since I was 13 years old and tumbled into their minivan. @marklou1s how lucky are we to have joined this particular circus!

All I can say is smile big at the girl next to you in the middle school Bye Bye Birdie chorus line… you never know, twenty years from now you might be buttoning up her wedding dress as she goes off to marry the love of her life 🤍

Life is a balancing act 🤸‍♀️

I’ve been getting a lot of messages from you guys and having a lot of conversations with people lately who are like — are you tired?! You’ve been going a million miles an hour lately, ha!

The answer is yes 🤪 I definitely feel like I’m in one of those seasons where I’m running around and juggling a million projects, places and people.

(BTW, I’m inspired by my dad who is in his mid 70s, still running a company, volunteering his time for causes he cares about, being an engaged and loving dad brother etc, exploring his own city of LA and traveling often! #goals!)

Lately the things that keep me grounded are my movement practices (getting away from my screen and taking some time to move energy by moving my body!), therapy and career coaching (even in the good times, I am trying to keep those channels open for when the inevitable tough seasons roll through), and honestly, zoning out to Law and Order SVU season 24 in the bathtub with a face mask on at the end of a long day (even if yah, I’m catching up on my stories like I am rn while I soak 😅)

I actually think I thrive somewhat on running around like a crazy person but I’m looking forward to a slightly slowed down travel schedule for the month so I can catch up on some much needed laptop time! Blog posts, retreat releases and more are headed your way — stay tuned! And if you too are in a balancing-act season… stick with it we got this!

Waving goodbye to New York summer on what feels like the first true day of New York fall! 👋🏼

This has been a crazy season (year? life? lol?) and I barely spent any time in New York, Upstate or Downstate, this summer. But the little I did I tried to soak it all in making memories with dear friends and soaking up those moments of barefoot backyard hangs, long walks through Brooklyn, and delicious 9PM sunsets.

Okay, time to buckle in for cozy season! I’ve always been a summer gal but I am trying hard now to embrace all seasons. Summer, I’ll see ya next year… (except here on my feed, where I have quite a few more sunny memories to share from further afield ☀️🫶🏼☺️).

London called… I answered! 📞

I was missing the UK-decamped contingent of my old Thailand crew bad, so it only made sense to spontaneously stop in London on the way back from Israel! It turned out to be a magical few days full of live music, close friend cuddles, and coo-ing over the new baby bump in our midst! (Have you placed your holiday orders with @amyjennifer.jewellery yet before she goes on maternity leave, on that note?!)  Some fave moments:  • A hauntingly beautiful performance by @modoutouremusic at @kathrynwaring’s private club that gave me chills
• Spending @banyanbar Brian’s birthday together
• Ordering a greasy bacon roll and Diet Coke from a corner shop
• Hitting the Twinings store, the oldest in the UK, and literally filling my carry on with fun fancy teas • Stopping at the Natural History Museum for a solo stroll through a sustainability exhibit
• Singing along with thousands of other @alanis fans united by decades years of feminist rage in musical form • Long walks with my girl @amyjennifer that made me wish for a space portal so I could join her on a morning stroll every day
• Watching the sun set over the River Thames on a ferry ride home  Be back soon, London lovers… 🖤
