I absolutely love the idea behind the art of the tree and it just adds so much more. It just shows again how resilient things can be, given the circumstances, even if a little help is required. When my friend and I road-tripped around the eastern provinces in Canada, we happened to turn on this unassuming little road. At the end of the road was a grassy hill, so we climbed it and came out to one of the most beautiful sandy stretches of beach I’ve ever stepped foot on – and we were the only ones there. It wasn’t anything incredibly unique but it was memorable and definitely felt like a hidden gem.

Hey Ellen! The DJI Spark is a great beginner drone, in my opinion — it’s simple, lightweight, and it’s not so expensive that you’ll be completely devastated if you lose it. I have been loving it for the last two years and only now am starting to feel like I’m ready to upgrade (though I love the size and weight so much I may never do so!)

Hope you are currently doing well in Albany! Quick question, what drone do you recommend for beginners to the droning world? Every time I get back from a trip (most recently Lake Atitlan inspired by your time there!!) I am disappointed I didn’t get any ariel shots, so I think it is time to take the plunge and would love any suggestions you have on drones!

Ha — I admit it, that part was NOT fun. I was actually shocked when we emerged and I looked at my shredded booty in a mirror! But the good news is the water really does have crazy healing properties. I was all better the next day!
