Is there anything in life better than a road trip with the right partner in the passenger seat, a great playlist on the sound system, and wide-open days ahead of you? I can’t think of much. Okay, maybe throw having AAA on that list too. ‘Cause flat tires aren’t exactly the things great travel memories are made of, and I’ve had quite a few in my four-wheel journeys around the US. But road trips are dreamy — I think we can all agree on that, no?
The Luxury Collection and One Kings Lane have put together a set of drool-worthy videos that will make you want to grab your car keys, grab two friends, and hit the open road this instant. As I’m currently in the midst of planning a mini-weekend road trip with some girlfriends this spring (Palm Springs, here we come!) this series hit all the right notes.
This edition features three destinations over three days, experienced by three travel “tastemakers.” In Vermont, images of fall leaves sprinkle around the Equinox Hotel and the tastemakers go fly fishing. In Boston, The Liberty Hotel is the base for antiquing, bike riding, and fine dining around the city. In New York, The Chatwal Hotel is a respite after long day of theatre-going, strolling through Central Park, and sipping wine. As an East Coast girl myself I can’t help but feel a little pride in what a beautiful part of the world this is.
Even if a road trip isn’t in your near future, you can still get a taste of this trip sent directly to your door. One of you will win a One Kings Lane Aegean Fig scented soy wax candle, a Luxury Collection Hotel Stories coffee table book and a Luxury Collection Cocktail Collection recipe book featuring global-inspired cocktails, worth a total of $125. As someone who loves to daydream about travel, I would love to light this candle, stir up an indulgent cocktail, and spend a few hours flipping through a book filled with a lifetime of beautiful hotels and destinations.

Love a good road trip!
Merry Christmas Alex. I love the giveaway that you are offering. I do love road trips but I think they are a bit scary sometimes. Yes, a flat tire on a road trip would be no fun.
Happy New Year to you 🙂
What a wonderful giveaway! While road trips are a summer activity for me, I wouldn’t mind daydreaming about taking such a jaunt while perusing the hotel stories and trying one of the cocktail recipes. My most memorable car trip did involve a blow-out on the interstate, followed by 100-mile crawl on the donut to the nearest (!) repair facility that could replace my exotic tire.
Love your blog! 🙂
Awesome giveaway!
Would love a give-away…since I am not going on a holiday anytime soon and need some inspiration and day-dreaming material;)
Winning this would definitely answer the question of how to decorate my new coffee table – the hotel book, the candle and a cocktail from the other book should take care of things nicely!
Happy to see all these entries so far, ya’ll! (And keep ’em coming… five more days to go!)
Oh, I love road trips! Brings back memories of family trips all the way to California. What fun.
I love road trips (and coffee table books with a passion)! My last three trips have all been road trips to SF, Vegas, and AZ.
I love road trips and guidebooks and planning. Planning and dreaming is half the fun!
Yay! I love giveaways AND roadtrips…and candles! Perfect!
Thank you for the great prize package contest!
