Greetings from Toronto! I’m posting from TBEX, the travel blogging conference that I gushed about last year in Colorado. This conference has well and truly been a whirlwind, and I’m glad I’ve set aside the next week to decompress at a desk and try to put into action all the inspiration and ideas I’ve felt bubbling up over the past few days.
Sadly I had exactly zero time to explore Toronto, but I did enjoy simply being back in an urban environment. Despite the amount of time I spend on remote islands these days, I truly do cherish looking up at soaring skyscrapers or gazing back at a geometric skyline.
I’ve got some beautiful eye-candy posts and exciting announcements coming up this week, so stay tuned! But in the meantime, here are this week’s Photo of the Week candidates.
Photo A
Photo B
Which photo is your favorite?
I have to say, A, love the angle!! Hope you enjoyed the weekend!!
Would have enjoyed it more had you been there! 🙂
Oh wow both are gorgeous, but I guess I will pick B!
Thanks Andi 🙂
I love the angle in A, but B is just too pretty!
Thanks Oliva! Photo B is my favorite too, if I have to pick 🙂
I feel you, girl! I am a lover of beauiful remote islands & paradises, but nothing feels quite like the hustle and bustle of a big city.
I don’t know if I could ever NOT choose a skyline on the water. I love the combintion of te sky, the city lights, and their refection shining down…so I’ll go with B! Toronto has recently become a bucket list destination of mine.
I actually am going to feel guilty now having said I’ve been to Toronto… I barely did anything Toronto-like while I was there! Oh well, next time I need to learn my lesson and schedule more time in the conference city!
Photo B for me, I love the night time shot.
Shame you didn’t get chance to go out and about in Toronto, it is an amazing city.
I know…. I really need to get back there again someday! Luckily my sister lives in Rochester, so it’s not too far from there. I’m sure I’ll be back 🙂
Alex, it was great to meet you in person this weekend after months of living vicariously through your blog. 🙂 I’m going to definitely go with B — love the Toronto skyline from Centre Island. If you are ever back in the city with more time to explore, drop me a line!
Hey Mel! So wonderful to meet you as well! I apologize if I was a hot awkward mess — while I look at my analytics and technically understand that there are many people reading this blog, it’s still sometimes surprising to get real life evidence of it, ha! I’d love to have lunch when I make it back to the city 🙂
I will choose B. I like the colours. Better luck next time you are in Toronto.
Thanks Steve! I definitely enjoyed Toronto, was just sad I didn’t get to see much of it 🙂
B!!! Most definitely B. I love reflecting night skylines.
Definitely digging B a bit more. Both shots are cool though!
Definitely B (although shhhhh…I’m from Vancouver and we’re supposed to hate everything Toronto!)
B! Colorful (moody?) reflective skylines are so pretty.
Looks like B is the winner this week… and I agree 🙂
Photo B! While i do enjoy mountains and beaches, Toronto’s skyline is impressive. Glad you had fun.
Thanks Breanna! Full recap of TBEX to come 🙂
I am a sucker for a good skyline shot – B
Damn! You were at TBEX? I must have missed you roaming around. I was there both days and have too many notes to go through and met a lot of great people.
I have the same photo B from the expedia party 😛 Hope to see you at the next one!
I think I saw about, oh, thirteen hundred people taking that shot! It was irresistible, in our defense 🙂
The second photo looks stunning! Reminds me of Auckland’s skyline.
I’ve never been to New Zealand! I really need to add it to the list…
pic #2 for sure…
Thanks for the vote, Ken!
Photo B 100%! It is gorgeous!
So jealous of everyone who went to TBEX, I’ve been wanting to get to a blogging conference for so long now but they are never at the right time or place!
Any big take home tips?
I’m definitely going to do a big TBEX wrap up post and share some of my notes and things. But my biggest take away in general was…. how important networking is! Hope you (and I) can make it next year!
