Have you ever thought to yourself, “My gosh, I am simply too well rested, and have too much peace and balance in my life? How boring!” Well, do I have a plan for you!
First, fly back from Indonesia and attempt to recover from jetlag while unpacking, fulfilling bridesmaids duties, traveling between three cities in one week, and preparing for the week in the barren desert that is Burning Man. Still sleeping calmly through the night? Make sure to have an online business so that all your income depends on you being accessible online.
So, clearly, it’s been a stressful week for me. Compounded by some bad news in my personal life, I’ve been struggling with a lot of negative thoughts about my current lifestyle.
I’m hoping to leave them behind as I head out onto The Playa and return feeling rejuvenated and excited again about life!
Going with this week’s “on the move” theme, this Photo of the Week has a transportation theme.
Photo A
Photo B
Which photo is your favorite?
B! I’ve seen the airplane photo, but never one like photo B! Hope this week is better than last!
Thanks Kaitie! It was at least wackier, to say the least π
i agree, b
Thanks for the vote! Looks like there is a clear reader favorite for this week!
I like B as well! Take your stress and negative thoughts to the Temple at BM and leave them there. You’ll see. Have the BEST time!! xx
The Temple really was heavy! Have you been to Burning Man? If not, I think it’s your turn!
Definitely B! Unique composition and the cracks in the pavement lead the eye nicely into the background. Nice work! And good luck with the rejuvenation.
Thanks Ben! Glad someone else noted that perfectly placed pavement crack π
I really like A. When I fly, it’s usually on Southwest so I naturally like this one. Also, I’m always looking for different ways to take pics out the window and I like the colors/mood in this one. Have fun in the desert and cheers to positivity!
I am SO in love with Southwest after this trip! I wish I remembered to look for them more often (I usually use flight search engines that they don’t appear in) But having those two checked bags each saved our lives for Burning Man. Awesome.
B for sure, but love the way you took A! π x
Creepily creeping on my BFF while she sleeps, you mean? π
Hope everything is going ok! We’re always happy to listen to even those negative existential thoughts and especially the mushy photos. Hope you know you have a support group out here!
You are too sweet Lauren. I really love and appreciate the community I have here… you guys are a wonderful support network and I am lucky to have you!
I am going for A. It makes me look forward to my flight to Split in two weeks time.
Ooo, sounds like an adventure! Happy travels and thanks for voting!
i’m going with B on this! sorry to hear there’s bad news in your life alex π i second lauren, we are here through the good & the terrible. hope the kaleidoscopic desert magic lifts your spirits x
Thank you Becky! Things are looking up, as they usually do when you sit patiently and allow time to take it’s course π
Love A. Even though flying scares me I’m that person snapping endless photos out of the window of a plane.
It’s so strange…. I used to be a fearless flyer but in the past year I’ve found myself getting more and more skittish on flights! I need some hypnosis, stat, because that just is not going to work with my lifestyle!
Oh no, hope you are ok! Love photo A. Looking out of an plane window always gives me a sense of freedom.
Thanks Tammy! I know how you feel. Airports always feel like such magical places to me.
B…..just plain cool
Thanks Dad π
I love B. Great perspective.
Thanks Helois! I love when photography gets me rolling around on the ground, or crouched precariously on some cliff… π
My vote is for A– even if it’s a photo commonly taken, I still like the composition.
Thanks Anna! I like to think of it as a twist on an old classic π
Sounds hechtic, but I am sure there is not a challenge you won’t overcome.
Gonna go with A. It can be so hard to find a good sleeping position on a plane, but she looks quite comfortable! The calm before the storm. And I love flying Southwest.
Thanks Kristen π I’m falling for Southwest too! Love their baggage policies and late check in times.
