Greetings from New York City, where I’ve been for the past week! It’s been inspiring working with Manhattan out my window (I’m staying in a friend’s beautiful apartment in Gramercy) and fabulous catching up with friends from so many stages of my life. What triggered my trip was the New York Travel Festival, which turned out to be a great opportunities to bond with old industry friends and network with new ones.
Yet as much as I love this city, it is a distracting place to be! It seems like every day there’s an offer I can’t refuse to meet someone for lunch, and every night there’s some event to get dressed up and go out for. While I managed to get a ton of work done regardless, I’m looking forward to retreating back to Albany tonight to buckle down on some big projects before my next big trips! Now, onto Photos of the Week…

Which photo is your favorite?
It’s a tough one. I love the view on your first photo, but Frank wins my vote. Number 3 it is 🙂
He’s a wise, wise man!
Beautiful photos! I didn’t realize you were at NY Trav Fest—sorry I missed you! Maybe next time 🙂
Oh, bummer! I should have put something in last week’s Photo of the Week mentioning it. Next time!
Aww! I thought I might have seen you at NYTF, should of said hi! I’m going with photo A. I never get tired of that skyline!
Man! I can’t believe I missed so many people. I’ve had a few mention it now! Next time I obviously need to make a big stink in advance 🙂
I think Photo A because of that amazing sky. However as Prius driver myself, C is a close second 🙂
Ha, that’s a good reason 🙂 Love it!
I love photo c – the yellow and golds are gorgeous! New York is my favourite place in the world – give it a big kiss for me! xx
I know how you feel Lucy, there is truly nowhere else like it!
A…skylines are always fascinating
Thanks Dad 🙂
I think I’ll go with C! I think that’s a cute quote. I also think a good revenge is to just become so happy that you are indifferent to the person… so much so you forget about revenge!
That kind of goes along with the “living well is the best revenge” variation, I suppose! I’m all about the massive success, though!
Gotta go with Sinatra! “New York, New York, it’s a hell of a town, the Bronx is up and the Battery’s down . . .”
He seems to be a popular guy around these parts!
Going with C as well — love that quote!
Definitely appears to be the winner this week 🙂
I am choosing C. The taxi cab is a icon of the city. I need to visit NYC again.
Yes you do! And so do I… and I just left yesterday!
I like photo A. 🙂
Thanks for voting, Kimi!
I just love the quote! You had a pretty cool ‘office’ view this week though.
Tell me about it! I was just about ready to move in. Too bad the rent is more than I make in two months, ha!
I think I’d go for number A, what a great office view! Lovely blue sky! Ah, love New York with it’s great energy and amazing shopping! I always have to go to Central Park and say hello to the statue of the cute Norwegian Siberian Husky Balto when I’m there. Will probably have a stop over in NYC in June, looking forward to it!
I can never get enough of New York. What a fabulous city 🙂 Enjoy your trip in June!
Nice view! I have been to NY once, but I absolutely loved it. I will have to return one day, as there are so many things I haven’t seen yet.
New York is a city that could take a lifetime to explore! Definitely one to return to again and again!
Photo A! I spent NYE there…although fun, it was much too cold! I owe NYC another visit now that the weather has finally broken.
Seriously! I have not spent nearly enough time in that city this year. I can’t wait to be back in June.
New York City is just a busy city and to top that out, there are lot of people too who wanted to see this place and I must say although this city never sleeps, it is still my favorite place to be. I just love how it is and the feeling of being here is just wonderful. Thanks for sharing a great post about New York and I love all your photos but my favorite would be the view fro your office. It’s just beautiful, the clouds made it perfect.
Thanks April. I’m so lucky my friend let me crash 🙂
Photo C is my favorite! So funny that you were in NYC just the week before I was (since I always think of you traveling far far away.) The weather was fantastic and I loved exploring different parts of the city… love that little town! 🙂
Tell me about it! It’s still one of my favorite places in the world. Miss it all the time.
