This week featured some of Koh Tao’s best ever sunsets. In order to get this photo sans the construction site next to my bungalow I had to sit on my balcony railing and lean as far over it as I possibly could without plunging to my death. I think the outcome is Photo of the Week worthy, don’t you?

Koh Tao Sunset

One sunset this week even inspired me to try my first ever time-lapse video. It takes a lot of time in shooting, importing and editing for a 30 second clip but I love the result. Behold, the first ever Video of the Week!

In other news, one of my photos of Khmer children was featured on the all new Smiling Faces blog. If you’re one of the many people who laments turning on the TV/computer and seeing nothing but bad news and negativity, this site will leave you, well… smiling!

Happy weekend!

The time lapse reminds me of a video the guys on the USN Mercy did as we traveled through the Panama Canal. If I haven’t showed it to you, remind me to when you come back to the U.S!

    Great work!

Oh wow, you did, and it was amazing! I remember I was really impressed because I never had though about the Navy as a potential employer for photographers/videographers. But that was definitely proof that it can be a great creative outlet.
