Lately, my Photo of the Week posts have been just a single photo — a far cry from the many, many options I post when I’m abroad! But frankly that’s because on this visit back to the States I’ve been focused less on fun and travel and more on work and other drudgery. (And let’s just ignore the fact that I’m days late in posting thanks to a misplaced memory card reader.)
This week I’m finally back on the move! After eleven straight days in Albany, this week I drove down to Philadelphia, stopping for less than twenty four hours in Brooklyn. In Brooklyn I finally met up with the wonderful Globetrotter Girls, dropped all my Indonesia-bound luggage at my friends’ place, and then went to a wild rave. The usual.
On Sunday morning I drove to my dad’s new home in Philadelphia so we could finally spend Father’s Day together again — the last few years have had me thousands of miles away. And being the wonderful tour guide that he is, he’s showing me all over the city. My favorite stop so far? The Magic Gardens, an amazing art installation by a former Pratt graduate! There’s a lot more about my trip to Philly to share down the line, but for now, onto Photo of the Week candidates —
Street art in Albany
The staircase to my dad’s roofdeck in Philadelphia, and a bridge driving into New York City
The Magic Garden in Philadelphia — a photographer’s dream!
More Magic Garden in Philadelphia
You guessed it — just a little bit more Magic Garden in Philadelphia
