Whew! Apologies for the jumbled posting schedule this week, but getting out of Belgium really threw me for a loop. My eight days in the country started off pretty rocky and while frustrations continued to pile up, all was forgiven upon arrival at Tomorrowland with one of my fave travel buddies by my side. Going entirely offline for four days was a blissful and much needed break, and what a better place to disconnect than a playground build for dance-loving adults? As we limped back to Brussels, filled with memories and giggles, we agreed that every indulgence was worth it.
Today, Heather and I are off to Greece to recover from the madness with the help of a little Vitamin Sea. I’m so excited to be back in the country that I’ve been vowing to return to for years! But for now, here’s a peek into my time in Belgium…

Selfies are pictures too!
Which photo is your favorite?
Hey Alex,
Love the Belgian chocolates in Photo B, the pretty tent in Photo D, cool champagne glasses in Photo E and of course ur selfie 🙂
Cheers,
Rekha
Thanks Rekha! I love them all too 🙂
As usual, I love all the photos…Ghent is now on my list of must-sees! And looks like you recovered nicely from the costume box held hostage by customs….
Have a great time in Greece. Ah, Santorini!
Heather shared her costumes 🙂 Ghent was really beautiful, I need to return and spend a bit more time there someday.
Photo C & D! That is the cutest tent!
We wanted to move in permanently! It could not have been a more comfortable home for our stay… and what a place to retreat to when the festival got too hectic 🙂
I love the champagne toast in photo E! But that’s one awesome outfit you’re wearing in photo F!!
Most of it is remnants of Heather’s Batabanoo (Cayman Carnival) costume. I borrowed it for a bit and fell in love 😛
Waffles & chocolate. What a combination. Photo B for me.
I can’t wait to write about the fantastic chocolate tour I did in Brussels! It was one of the best I’ve ever done.
I love the selfie! Have fun in Greece 🙂
Thanks Ashley! So excited to be here!
You look fabulous dahling. Tomorrowland looks magical & like way, way too much fun. E & F for me!
Thanks girl! Wanderlust Fest looks pretty amazing too!
I love everything from Tomorrowland! Do I have to choose!?? Looks like it was fab, despite the stress beforehand. OK ok I choose the selfie. You really know how to pull an outfit together last minute! xx
Luckily I had a festival buddy who was willing to share 🙂 Wow, us talking about Tomorrowland while hiking through Colca Canyon suddenly feels like a billion years ago!
even though i always read this is my very first comment… but i have to vote for brussels! i’m pretty sure i took a photo at the same spot as the photo on the left on my very first day there 🙂
That’s so cool! While the weather could have been better it is a really photogenic city. Thanks for commenting, Sara 🙂
B+D! That tent looks amazing, and the Belgian treats don’t look too bad either…
I needed to leave Belgium when I did, or I would have ended up a million pounds! There is just WAY too much good food around.
Definitely E! So much life. It’s all so vibrant. I want to be there. You are also cute in your little feather headdress. 🙂
Thanks! Wearing it kind of inspired me to make it to Carnival somewhere in the world in 2015 🙂
F ! I want to see more photos of your outfits!!
Definitely more to come 🙂 Though I’m still gutted my Americana outfit was stuck in customs 🙁
Mmmmm photo B. Looks delicious!
It was! Hence why I’m eating salad for a week straight here in Greece!
Probably photo E, looks like a luxurious festival experience – very removed from my experiences at Glastonbury!
Ha, yeah, we didn’t really do camping… we did glamping! It was worth every penny.
I choose your beautiful face! Also I am in Greece at the moment. It is ridiculously hot but beautiful. Are you spending any time in Athens?
I am! I will be there for a few days next week. When are you there?
I will be there all of next week. If you are not too weighed down with work then we should get coffee! 🙂
For sure! Shoot me an email so we can stay in touch 🙂
Photo D. Love the Tent! (you look lovely in your selfie too :-))
I could have moved into that tent permanently! It could not have been more plush.
Beautiful photos!
Thanks Clay! Much appreciated!
D! But love your costume as well!
Thanks Jason! It was borrowed off my friend Heather, who was smart enough to pack her festival stuff rather than try to ship it 🙂
E for me! I love the dimensions of the lively background and the champagne in front.
We loved that view! It was a nice way to get a break from the crowds 🙂
F because you’re beautiful. Ghent looks aaaalmost as beautiful.
🙂 Thanks Miss Hutner! Ghent was stunning — must return with more time to explore.
Great photos, as usual! I think my favorites are the last two.
Thanks Erika! They definitely capture a bit of the festival spirit.
I hope Tomorrowland was awesome, but it’s B for me this week 😉
I don’t blame you — delicious!
Photo D! Was that the tent you slept in? Looks pretty cool! Wait does it feel stuffy sleeping inside there?
That was indeed our little home for four nights! It got a bit hot as the day went on but we mostly just kept the flaps open to let air in. It was actually quite cool at night!
I wont be shy – F wins by a mile – obvious reasons
Thanks Rick 🙂
Did you get to taste some Belgium chocolate? I used to have a Belgium friend and she told me the chocolate there is amazing!
Actually, I took a whole chocolate tour! Review post to come 🙂 Stay tuned!
A. You look great in F, though.
Thank you! It was quite the range of photos this week 🙂
@Alex: If you’re ever back in Belgium (and Antwerp) check out the chocolate line, best chocolate ever.

Oh, I feel like I covered ALL the chocolate in Brussels, so I probably will need to make my way to Antwerp to keep up my track record 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation!
