It’s hard for me to comprehend that it’s been over a week since I landed back on US soil — time is flying by exactly as I predicted it would. It felt fantastic to be home for Thanksgiving again, and this year my family had the honor of introducing our favorite holiday to an Australia friend of mine, Sam, who has recently moved to New York City. We had so much fun baking, crafting, taking a billion photos of snow (okay, that was mostly Sam), and dressing Tucker up in ridiculous costumes (okay, that was mostly me). I do adore the holidays!
This upcoming week I’m looking forward to hibernating from the cold and tackling massive amounts of writing, blasting through the gym every day, and spending copious amounts of time with my favorite people — and canine.
Happy holidays!

One of my favorite pastimes is dressing my cats up in funny costumes. I seriously get a sick sense of joy out of it. Glad you were at home to dress your pup up! That photo is wonderful, btw!
Aw, thanks 🙂 He’s such a good poser! He humors us quite well.
It seems you have the perfect week ahead of you. Have fun in NY and enjoy the snow – I really hope we get some for Christmas here in DK.
You can have some of ours 🙂 I wish! But I’ll cross my fingers for you!
Sounds like you have had a lovely week! Spending the holidays in New York is literally one of my life dreams. At home in New Zealand, we often spend our christmas days swimming in the sunshine (which is wonderful of course) but that perfect white Christmas would pretty much fulfil me for ever haha
As much as I loathe the cold, I do admit there’s nothing quite like a white Christmas. I just wish it would all melt January 1st 🙂
Sounds like the perfect start to the holidays to me! Tucker is so cute, I wish my pets would let me dress them up 😛
Happy holidays Alex! x
Can they not be convinced, even with snacks? That’s usually how we get Tucker to play along, ha.
Seriously, the only instance I know of in life in which time does NOT fly is when I’m waiting for fucking food in a restaurant. I’ve come to the conclusion that under ANY other circumstances, time flies. Fucking time.
Super random but want to tell you this revelation a friend and I had the other day: Dogs = men, cats = women. Think about it.
OR IN LINE AT A GOVERNMENT OFFICE. Time does not fly then, either. And now that you mention it I’m pretty sure one kid I used to babysit for thought cats were girls and dogs were boys. So you might be onto something there.
So you’re telling me that not only is my idea NOT original, it was a 6-year-old who came up with it first? Haha sweet. I guess I’ll hold off on writing that book…
It’s amazing how quickly time passes when you return from a trip! Looks like a great holiday with the family though!
I know! I can’t believe how quickly time is passing. I knew it would though!
Happy Thanksgiving (and thanks for sharing) 🙂
Right back at ya, Chris!
