Greetings from Martha’s Vineyard! I was beyond pleased to find that when I arrived back from my whirlwind of press trips last week, summer had arrived on the East Coast. I spent just under a week in Albany — catching up on work, hitting some appointments and most importantly, showing some friends from Thailand around my hometown! Between late night ice cream runs, barbecuing on the back porch and cheering on a friend in her new baseball beer league, I remembered how much I love those magical warm weather months in upstate New York.
But I wasn’t sticking around for long. On Thursday, Kristin and Michelle, my two hometown besties, joined me and Tucker for a road trip down to Martha’s Vineyard. We spent the most blissfully relaxed weekend beach bumming, restaurant hopping, and lounging around my mom’s new house in what I truly hope will become an annual tradition. I was sad to see them go tonight, but I’m here for another few days with my mom and sister and I had this beautiful feeling earlier where I realized this place is starting to feel like another home to me — one I’ll be sharing more about with you all soon.
Now… onto Photo of the Week!

Are you kidding???? There is only one photo of the week this week…..D for dog and D for duh?
Tucker thanks you for your loyalty. Also… he needs a bath when we get to Philly!
gotta go with C. love the colors & kitschy seaside charm!
Seaside charm is my favorite variety π
Photo B or C or D! I love how patriotic the first two look, and I just love puppy pictures. π
The puppy pictures are killing it! I’m going to be sad when I have to say goodbye to this guy…
#1 = B
#2 = E
Good choices, thank you!
D, tucker is such a cutie… my little huck i miss to death and will see him in 3 days! Ha, our dogs are huck and tuck lol
Love it! Your little guys is adorable, saw him on Instagram the other day!
Tucker! Love that photo, you have the cutest dog. And I always wanted to go to Martha’s Vineyard when I lived on the east coast, maybe I can come stay with you sometime??
Ps- let’s skype soon, I wanna catch up with you!
Um that is a firm YES. Please come! I think you’d love it. And yes, let’s Skype! I want to hear what’s been up your sleeve. How about Thursday?
Also, “what’s been up your sleeve?” I don’t even know what that means. Note to self: Don’t respond to comments not under the influence of caffeine.
You have a beautiful looking home town Alex.
I’m going to select photo B this time. The appeal of marinas are never ending for me especially on such a lovely day.
Tucker is very cute though.
I was thrown by your mention of a baseball beer league. Is that a sport or a drinking game?
It’s basically just a very casual sports league — meaning you go out for beers after (or maybe during :))
Although Photo B attracted me, I have to come back to the lobster roll, as the first time I saw this on a menu was friday night on london’s Southbank, when I popped up for some street food. π
It’s on the menu all over the place here on Martha’s Vineyard! They even do lobster ice cream here…
Hi Alex,
I can’t even imagine what the taste would be like!
Tucker of course! He’s adoring π
He’s certainly enjoying being the star! π
Photo D- so cute!
π Thanks Ashley! Love it!
It’s got to be D. Looking forward to the next post from Tuckerinwanderland.com
HA! Might have to look into that domain soon π Love it!
Photo D for sure!
Man… Tucker is cleaning up this week π Thanks for voting!
It’s gotta be D … your puppy is so cute!
I’ll try not to let it all go to his head! Big winner again π
Photo B is my favourite! I love the flag in front of the harbour!
Super patriotic… has me excited to spend the 4th of July here!
Love B and D. Tucker is so cute!!
Thanks Kelly π He’s the best little assistant ever!
I love Photo C. Martha’s Vineyard is such a beautiful Island. I was there on a sunny day in October 2012 and although I loved it, it would be great to go back in summer some time.
I feel so grateful to be back spending so much time here (two weeks!). It is magical! Hoping next summer I get to spend even longer.
Photo D of course! Tucker is loooove.
Your Dad’s comment though. LOL.
Ha, he’s very loyal π
Tucker is the adorable-est! Hahaha
If only I could take him with me on my international trips!
It can only be photo D – I wish all dogs could swim like that.
It’s a new thing for him, and he’s seven! Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!?
Tucker! Definitely no contest this week. π Aww makes me want to hug my dogs and take them for a swim now.
I said goodbye to Tucker and I am missing him something fierce right now π
