This is the final photo of the week from our epic 6.5 week journey through Cambodia and Vietnam. Now we’re back in Bangkok and it’s time to put my head down for two weeks as I have the heaviest work load of freelance projects I’ve had since leaving the States. Once those two weeks are up I need to plan the permanent kidnapping of my friends and family who will be arriving for the holidays. (I CAN’T WAIT). Sound busy? Not to mention all the crazy stories, beautiful photos, and happy times I have yet to blog about from our trip! Lots going on around here so stay tuned…
This week’s Photo of the Week was taken in Mui Ne, Vietnam at the red sand dunes. The sky was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed and Mark was going wild jumping off the dunes and crawling back up them. As soon as I snapped the shutter on this image I knew it was Photo of the Week.
But there was some competition from this reclining Buddha on Takou Mountain…
and from the stunning Fairy Spring in Mui Ne…
and from this amazing shot taken by Mark on our final evening in Saigon.
Happy weekend!
Wow Alex I think these photo’s are some of your best. I read all your posts and they just keep getting better! Keep up the good work girl.
Thanks for the kudos! I appreciate it!
Those other ones don’t hold a candle to Mark pretending to be a power ranger in the desert!
Ha! I didn’t see the Power Ranger connection before but now it’s all I can picture…
Yes, Mark as a Power Ranger is a fantastic image. The resting Buddha is arresting. But the last photo of the city at sunset gave me chills. Good work, both of you! XOXO
Well, I’m claiming partial credit for that final image as well as the EDITOR of it π
That last photo is amazing. It spells Danger!
Now you see why it’s so hard for me to choose each week!
Alex, I look forward to these pictures every week. They are amazing. Miss you tons. Love Laura
Laura, I’m so happy to know you are reading. This comment made my day. Love you!
Extremely interesting pictures! One more fascinating than the next. The first was so fun, but the city of Saigon at sunset was my favorite. They are all postcard quality. Great work!
Thank you so much for the compliments! I’m an old fashioned post card sender still so that is the perfect thing to say. Mark will be extremely excited to hear his photo was the favorite π
You picked the right one. Frankly I am glad you are back in Thailand.
Flying back into Bangkok felt amazing. Thailand is my home away from home and it is great to return.
That first picture of Mark is amazing! Love the clouds and the contrast of the colors. Definitely has to be printed on a canvas when you get back home π
Thanks! We totally lucked out on the sky because the next day it was no where near as spectacular. But I’m claiming credit for the excellent composition π
Alright, I am sold. Consider me a new subscriber! Great pics. I Hart Vietnam!
Welcome to the Wanderland family, Fidel! We are super glad to have you on board π
That last picture is my favourite!! And my new iphone background !! Can’t wait to go there this summer !!
You’re going to have the time of your life π Enjoy!
I absolutely LOVE the Saigon picture!!!
Blast from the past π Still one of my favorites!
