Surprise! I’m in Cambodia. I’ve loved this country since my first visit in 2009, and I’ve been smiling for two days straight since we arrived. I have so much to say about Cambodia already, but I’ve got a few more Thailand posts for you first. Lots to look forward to around here! The best way to make sure you don’t miss a post? And now onto the Photo of the Week…

Monk at Angkor Wat

After I snapped this photo we stopped and talked to this young monk who was very enthusiastic about practicing his English. He told us about his dream of visiting Australia someday, an aspiration we share.

This was a tough week! The runners up…

What do you think? Did I pick the right photo?

And I don’t know if I’ve said this enough lately, but thanks for reading. Your comments and support make my day!

I like the smug look on the monkey sitting on the ledge, but the one you picked is the best.

Had to abandon our tuk tuk and walk home through calf high water one night, but other than that the water has been receding!

I might have opted for the monkey in the temple since he seems to be posed as the king in his castle allowing you to photograph him and then leave please

I do love him! From a photography standpoint though the sky was really overexposed, so that’s why it was a runner up.

  • They are ALL amazing! The 1st one especially.

Angkor Wat blows the mind. We spent three days there, and I took close to 2,000 photos. So many great things to see. These are some terrific shots.

It really is an unreal place. I must be one lucky girl, as this was my second time at Angkor Wat, a once in a lifetime experience!
