Some of the most common work Heather does — and thus I do, as her intern — is family portrait sessions on the beach. Again, I thought I’d share a little of the work I’ve been up to while I’m not off playing in paradise!
When I first arrived in Cayman, Heather and I did a huge marketing push, going up and down Seven Mile Beach to all the condos, introducing ourselves, showing Heather’s portfolio, and giving out brochures. Well it’s finally starting to pay off! Heather was recommended to the Deason family by one of those condos, and I’m so glad because they were a great group for my first time shooting a family portrait session. Not only were parents, all three kids and boyfriends and girlfriends all present, but one couple had gotten engaged that very week on the beach so it was a combined engagement session/family portrait session all in one.

…in the very hammock where he popped the question!
This session was fantastic. It was only my second family portrait session, but already I felt more comfortable. This was also our second shoot at London House, which was nice because we had already kind of scouted out the best locations to shoot. The whole family was very photogenic and energetic and the hour flew by. Someone stopped Heather and I on the beach and asked for a business card, so it must have looked like we were having fun, which was cool!
love all your wedding photos..1st and 2nd; ‘specally like the feet and handprints in the sand !!
Thank you! I can’t take credit for setting up that shot though, its one of Heather’s signature shots she does. But I’m developing some of my own as well!
I am sure you will find a solution. These look lovely as they are
I especially like the one with the flowers, forefront, and her beautiful profile looking down. Great work !
Thank you so much! I love reading your comments 🙂
Is this the spot up near Hell??
No that’s the vow renewal. This one was on Seven Mile up north from the Marriot
