Like the one before, this week’s Photo of the Week also comes from one of Cambodia’s beautiful islands. We visited Koh Rong Samloem on a diving trip with Island Divers and well, I just can’t wait to tell you all about it. But for now, a teaser, in the form of Photo of the Week number 22.
It wasn’t an easy choice this week. We saw views like this above water…
And scenes like these below.
What a beautiful week! I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to visit these islands in their pristine and innocent state, one that surely will not last forever.

And now, the moment all you voters have been spending sleepless nights tossing and turning over. Where will next week’s Photo of the Week be brought to you from?
It’s true, I was secretly voting for Laos while Mark was cheering for victorious Vietnam, who ended up with 57% of the vote. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always had Vietnam on my “to-do” list, I just don’t think 2-3 weeks is enough time to see it all.
And so we aren’t going to. Rather, we are focusing on exploring the South of Vietnam by motorcycle, starting tomorrow! Now that I’ve accepted the results and got my hands on a black market Lonely Planet (hey LP, I did buy a legit copy of the Laos guide) I couldn’t be more excited about the route we’re taking… the one you guys are sending us on! Thanks a million to everyone who voted!
Vietnam, we’ll see you tomorrow.
I’m voting on the image of Mark with the scary black and red starfish! It was a close call between that and the first image 🙂
seahorse! Amazing… Lucky punks. Mark looks so fit in hire gear. Xx.
The seahorse was just one of the many creatures on parade we saw on that dive… it was crazy! I have a full post about diving in Cambodia in the works, but suffice it to say you should do it if the opportunity ever comes your way.
Great photo of the week as always Alex! Are you still in Cambodia?
Cheers Wes! Haha
57% was a pretty close call! I agree, 2-3 weeks is a rush, I did end-to-end of Vietnam in 2 weeks and it was fantastic but if I had my time again I would do it in at least double that. Enjoy!!
Yeah, especially with me working on the road, we definitely like to take it slow. So we are just tackling Southern Vietnam in our 2-3 weeks, and even that is going to be action packed! There is so much to do in this country!
YAY! We voted Vietnam, have great fun! 🙂
Amazing photos as usual Alex!
Beautiful shot. Looks amazing.
Lovely shots! I found your blog through Almost Fearless, and I’ll certainly be following along!
Thanks Kelsey! I’m glad you’ll be sticking around!
Wow, the island looks beautiful. I only made it to the north of Cambodia. Next time I’ll reach the south.
Stay tuned for more posts about the islands! And if you are hoping to visit, hurry, because sadly all of the islands have been sold to developers with dreams of Koh Samui- like monstrosities in mind.
